Sustainability

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and operate energy efficiency programmes at our production facilities around the globe, with each distillery and brewery working locally to achieve this across the entire production process - from our sourcing and transport infrastructure to the packaging of our final products. Our supplier verification system seeks to ensure ethical behaviour and commitment to sustainability by our suppliers. In the UK most distillery's participate in the Scotch Whisky Association's co-ordinated recycling scheme to increase volumes of glass return to bottle manufacture.

Community relations

We are committed to supporting local causes, events and organisations wherever our business operates in the world, in order to make a positive impact on the communities that surround each part of our operation. From our support for the 'Power of Thai' campaign to aiding those affected by Thailand's 2011 flood disaster. This includes Chang's 'Power of Thai' fundraising drinking water, and a special Everton FC Flood Relief football match, managed through our Chang Beer sponsorship, to Old Pulteney's annual support for the Wick pipe band in the north of Scotland and our partnership with the Children's Safety Education Foundation in areas close to our UK distilleries, where we contribute to the education of primary school children in relation to the choices they make around alcohol and other substances.

Responsible Drinking

In the UK, we are supporters of the Portman Group and Drinkaware Trust and adhere to all recommendations from the Scotch Whisky Association in relation to responsible drinking.

Our full portfolio is now labelled with all UK responsible drinking messaging.

We are signatories of the Public Health Responsibility Deal Programme and have committed to other health-related parameters on our labelling, such as calorific value and GMO.

We are also active supporters of Alcohol Awareness Week and Well-being Month.
